World Harvest Institute and Centre for Appropriate Technology Development, to Equip Future Leaders with Practical Skills

20 March 2024

The Centre for Appropriate Technology Development, Nadave, Bau. (CATD) and World Harvest Institute (WHI) are joining forces to empower future leaders with valuable skills that extend beyond theology. The milestone achievement saw the signing of the Memorandum of agreement today (Wednesday, 20th of March, 2024) between Rev. Kurulo, the President and Founder of CMF International, and Mr. Aporosa Silatolu, the Director of CATD, Nadave.

WHI, a registered educational institute based at World Harvest Centre Kinoya, strongly focuses on theological education through its relationship with Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Recognizing the need for their graduates to be equipped for multifaceted ministry, WHI partnered with CATD to identify critical areas where additional skills can be particularly beneficial.

“The majority of WHI graduates become ordained pastors, church planters, and missionaries,” explains Pastor Semisi Nacewa, the principal of WHI. “These roles extend far beyond leading worship services. Often, they find themselves working directly with communities, addressing practical needs and fostering development. Equipping our students with trade skills will enhance their ability to serve effectively.”

“We are thrilled to partner with WHI in this innovative program,” says Mr. Aporosa Silatolu, the Director of CATD. “By providing WHI students with practical skills alongside their theological training, we can create a generation of leaders who are not only spiritually equipped but also prepared to address the tangible needs of their communities.”

This partnership between WHI and CATD sets a new standard for theological education, recognizing the importance of holistic ministry. By equipping future pastors with both spiritual guidance and practical skills, this collaboration empowers graduates to make a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
